Many of our Partners and Lawyers have come from major city law firms such as Freshfields, Slaughter and May, Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, CMS Cameron McKenna and Herbert Smith because the Firm is able to offer such high calibre quality of work in such a beautiful environment.

The provision of an extremely high quality, open plan office environment has enabled our teams of experts to work closely and cohesively and in every case to create team spirit which goes beyond the expected. We encourage a sharing, “can-do” culture which enables very able lawyers to flourish.

Every law firm will tell you about their “open door policy” and how they pride themselves on there “friendly” staff. Michelmores endeavours to go one step further.

Many of our staff are close friends outside the office and our varied social events provide great opportunities for all our staff to form such friendships. After only a few weeks most people feel right at home in the office.

We encourage everyone to get involved in events where they can socialise with each other. Our social committee ensures that such events take place on a regular basis and they include; an annual treasure hunt, a 5K charity run through the streets of Exeter, a family fun day and cricket, football and tennis matches.

The Firm is extremely proud of its high retention rate across the board, the pleasant dynamic working environment created by sociable, helpful and motivated people, is, without doubt, a huge contributing factor!
