Summer Vacation Scheme

We run two one week vacation placement schemes during the summer holidays in our Exeter office. The next scheme will be held in July 2012. There is a formal application and interview process for this scheme as places are highly sought after.

The vacation placement scheme is as much about you getting to know Michelmores as a place to work, as it is about us getting to know you.

During the vacation placement scheme you will spend time in one department for the week, as we aim to give you a real hands-on insight into one area of law and life as a trainee solicitor by attending client meetings and dealing with 'real work'.

To enable you to gain a broader understanding of the different departments and areas of law, we run a series of workshops during the week so you can find out more about different departments and areas of work, meet trainees, partners and lawyers. There are also informal lunches with trainees which will give you the opportunity to gain a true insight about working at Michelmores.

During the week you will take part in a series of assessment exercises, such as a written exercise, verbal reasoning test and a group exercise. You will also have a formal interview with a Partner and a member of HR.
